Update, 2/16/12: Thanks to a lot of patient attention from our staff and volunteers, Sadie is now much better with people than she was. You can pet her, and she actually enjoys it and will sit calmly while you do so, though she's still a bit skittish. Sadie startled us by developing twitching that involves her eyes, ears, and whiskers. When this continued, we took her to see a specialist, who had absolutely no idea what was going on. A visit to a second specialist followed, part of a Tabby's Place unintentional specialty that we call "Stump the Neurologist". That neurologist was unable to conclude anything, either. He gave us some anti-seizure medication for Sadie. Though everyone agrees it's very unlikely that these twitches are seizures, the medication should help us rule out any seizure condition. It seems that the twitches might be stress-related, but at present we're not certain. Stay tuned for more on our sweet grey tabby girl...
