There’s a world of wisdom in Max’s regal eyes. He’s 14, after all, so he’s lived long enough to know that at the end of the day, the only thing that truly matters is love. Oh, and strings. Max is obsessed with strings. He spends a lot of time on his perch (or as Max refers to it, his “throne”) where he has a view of the waiting room and the reception area beyond, so he can keep a watchful eye on his loyal subjects (or as we call them, staff-members).
Like any well-bred, elderly gentleman, Max is a little persnickety — he doesn’t suffer fools gladly. Children and dogs running around like banshees or kittens running around like, well like kittens, can send him into a royal fit, plus he needs a pill every day to control his FHS (a rare seizure disorder). Luckily for everyone involved, Max doesn’t object to the pills one bit. He’s smart enough to know that even the King needs a little help now and then.
Max’s reign at Tabby’s Place is going on six years now, so he’s seen a lot of cats come and go in his day. He likes it here, but we know he’ll be much happier in a home where he can get the full royal treatment he deserves.
And strings. Don’t forget the strings.
